There are other USA based CE consultants including Devore Technologies International and ACES Ohio. These can assist Canadian or American Machinery Manufacturers with the CE or UK CA marking process before the machines are shipped. It is strongly recommended that a consultant is involved from the start, to carry out design reviews before the machine is built. This usually reduces the need for any rework before shipping, or expensive modifications when arriving on-site.

Any North American Machinery Manufacturers that supply machinery or related products to the EU or United Kingdom must ensure that it is CE or UK CA marked. That it has been assessed against the relevant legislation or European Standards. Is compliant to all relevant legislation, has a Declaration of Conformity and the Technical Documentation is lodged in the EU with an economic operator such as an importer, fulfilment center or EU Authorised Representative. Any equipment not meeting these requirements may be stopped at Customs and refused entry into the EU or UK.
